The objectives of this department is to provide guidelines for fellowship and cooperation among properly constituted Christian social works affiliated with the Assemblies of God, to facilitate consultation and joint action, to safeguard and advance the Christian concept of the social works and to promote Christian social education.

Social Concern Department is a work that subscribes to the Tenets of Faith of the Assemblies of God, emphasizes the need for a personal relationship with Jesus as Saviour and Lord, disciples the inmates/programmers through the systematic teaching of the scriptures by the power of the Holy Spirit to become mature Christians and integrate them into the life of a local Assemblies of God church, where the leader and the staff have a clear calling of God to lead in social ministries and are to or an Assemblies of God church or the General Council.

The plans of this department are to ascertain the social works under churches of A/G through a survey questionnaire, to meet with pastors having Children's Homes and Homes for the Elderly/Destitute under their care to form up modalities for such homes apart from the modality for Christian Dadah Rehabilitation which has already been formulate, to visit centres to encourage them and to foster better relationships, to organzse training seminar for the various kinds of works, to promote awareness among A/G churches of the available service and needs of the various homes whether in terms of finance or workers and to network with other Christian social ministries like Malaysia Care and for referrals.
